Venturing Out By Myself

Well, I’ve gone to about six of these singles dances with my cousin now and I have to say its been a positive experience all in all. He’s actually met a couple
of nice women and has been busy with dating them on weekend nights recently. So, I’ve actually had to venture out to the dance scene on my own. Compared to when I started out, I do have more confidence now and have no problem striking up a conversation. As I’ve said before, I have no hesitation in explaining in an initial conversation that I’m a single parent. I went out myself this past Saturday night and actually know enough people there to be able to float around and mingle a bit. I danced with a couple of women I never met and spent a long time shooting the breeze with this lady Jennifer.

As it turns out, she happens to not have any children and was married for a brieft time in her 20s. She never married again although she’s been engaged. I think she’s in her late 40s. I actually got her phone number and she wants to get together for a date!!! Even though she’s not a single parent, let’s give this dating thing a shot!
